A group of average guys and girls have started an ABS Challenge over the next 30 days … 23 February to 22 March, and the challenge is to do 5,000 situps or crunches. Sounds like a lot but it is amazing how easy it is to build up to 200 or so a day.
It is so EASY and enjoyable to be well … plus the benefits of maintaining a healthy weight are enormous! One of my doctor friends said that the worst term many doctors use when diagnosing a patient is “… for a person your age.” Sure, age will have measurable affects on the way we perform but often doctors compare you to the ‘norm’ for your age, rather than what you could be like if you knew how easy it was to be well.
I think you know the obvious answer … NO you can’t. What I find alarming is that ignorant people in powerful positions are able to receive funding for seemingly worthwhile projects (and I know that much assistance and funding support is needed is certain areas of mental illness) which have either been caused by or allowed to develop by a very blatant and greedy economic stimulus … in this case, not from the tobacco industry but the sugar industry.
How much sugar do you consume each day? Is it ten teaspoons (one can of soda or two glasses of fruit juice) or more?
Australian Weightloss has a great article with reference to a NEW book by Australian author and solicitor David Gillespie.
If you don’t read it for yourself, at least read it for your children …
