Are You Still In Competition Mode? Or Have You Learnt To Cooperate and “Agree To Agree”?

If Success or Failure ...

The most extreme form of “competition” is war!

The television NEWS tonight was filled with new terrorism laws, ISIS, hundreds of thousands of refugees flooding into Turkey; plus tragic National and local news with lives lost and pain everywhere.

Wherever there is pain in society you can guarantee that large profits are being made.

I learnt that from one of my mentors many years ago, and it I see it everywhere still today because the vast majority of us are competing at every opportunity … ignorant of the fact that we could ALL be living prosperously and with freedom within ten years once we shift to cooperation.

Look at social media … we are all told “you must be a part of it, learn how to FB, Tweet, Instagram, “hash tag” etc etc etc …

But very few can become “winners” in the competitive world; it absolutely follows the 80:20 rule where 80% of the business / income / profits / traffic and anything else is won by 20% of the players.

And when you understand the 80:20 rule you know that 20% of the 20%, i.e. 4% receive 64% of the business and then, 0.8% or less than 1% of the “competitors” will receive a whopping 51.2% of the rewards.

You are either being competitive (and playing “WIN-LOSE”) or you are being cooperative (playing “WIN-WIN”). You are either being fearful, selfish and cynical or loving, trusting, abundant and excited.

I know which one I prefer, what about you?

If you are competing in business it means you have stopped thinking!

The NEW Wellness Opportunities Are Here!

According to Paul Zane Pilzer (author of the New Wellness Revolution)the NEW Wellness Opportunities are only now here.

The New Wellness Revolution explains why the majority of opportunities in wellness still await the individual entrepreneur or health professional, and how new management techniques and forms of business organization (like direct selling and franchising) can allow such individuals even better technology than if they were part of a large corporation.”

Wellness Revolution by Paul Zane PilzerWhile big companies like Walmart and McDonald’s are doing their part, the majority of sales are expected to be made by individual entrepreneurs and practitioners, especially through the growth of direct selling or network marketing companies. These NEW wellness opportunities are here now and everyone can benefit, personally and professionally.

Even retail outlets and restaurants are playing their part and there is collaboration between many existing retail outlets and practitioners now starting to see the opportunities for better cash-flow and long term wealth by partnering with direct selling organisations.

Another major aspect to the increasing growth of Wellness Opportunities is how rapidly they are being taken up throughout Asia, especially in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and India.

Especially India is seeing a massive acceleration and growth in NEW wellness opportunities.

Whichever country you live in the opportunities are there for you to get involved and start making a difference to the lives of those around you.

Timing is everything, so they say however the good news is the wellness opportunities are here to stay.

Today Australia’s Traffic Regulations Are Costing 1000’s of Lives!

Did you know that our Australian Road design regulations and safety standards kill around 1600 people and seriously injure another 22,000 every year, and while the road toll was much higher 30 years ago it has plateaued and is costing a fortune in loss of life, medical and hospital costs and associated grief and trauma counseling.

There is nothing wrong with making mistakes … in fact it is one of the best way to learn, but when we keep making the same mistakes, getting the same result and are not making effective corrections then I would ask the question “what is stopping us making changes?”

What is stopping us making the necessary changes?

We live in ‘engineered environments or domains’, whether you are on land, in or on the water or in the sky, there are serious and sometimes lethal outcomes if you do not comply with the design principles of that environment.

I believe a case could now be put for gross negligence if the responsible parties do not engineer for ‘known’ hazards or risks.

We are living in the ‘twenty first century’, decades after we successfully designed a vehicle to send humans out into space and bring them back to earth safely, which we did very successfully.

It is astounding and almost unbelievable that we have not invested a similar interest in saving thousands of ordinary people’s lives. Only idiots or the ignorant would expect that speed cameras could prevent accidents or save people’s lives.

As a past chairperson of the Road Safety subcommittee of the Risk Engineering Branch of the Institution of Engineers Australia it was obvious to me that no one was looking at the road system as a “whole system”.

How To Lose Weight EASILY and Keep It Off!

How To Lose Weight EASILY and Keep It Off.

How can I help you?I’m currently enjoying my 60th year on planet Earth, but have a basal metabolic age of 18yrs, due very much to my low body fat of 15.5%, regular exercise (I walk and do yoga almost every day) and my hydration is pretty good @ 55.5% … but should still be higher.

It is so EASY and enjoyable to be well … plus the benefits of maintaining a healthy weight are enormous!

One of my doctor friends said that the worst term many doctors use when diagnosing a patient is “... for a person your age.” Sure, age will have measurable affects on the way we perform but often doctors compare you to the ‘norm’ for your age, rather than what you could be like if you knew how easy it was to be well.

Now you can put the best fuel in! (click here)

A recent US report states that the average American family spends around $12oo a month on health insurance. Not every one can afford $1200 a month and so 50 million American’s have no health insurance and so limited access to health care. In Australia we have a very similar situation developing. These people who miss out are often the very people who need health care the most. Continue reading

How I Gained 41 Years … And How You Can Too!

How I Gained 41 years … And How You Can Too!

Last night I had a full body scan done. Ever heard of them?

It tells you  just about everything you can think of that is about your body … your height and your weight you usually know but these get ‘plugged in’ to the machine I was standing on. Then I waited a few seconds while a tiny electric current passes around my body, I just love TECHNOLOGY and how easily and quickly it does it’s job.

Then I’m told to “step off the machine” and the operator starts recording MY RESULTS, including my METABOLIC AGE, or how old my body appears to be.

Aging and health care are certainly two of the BIGGEST concerns to individuals and governments alike.

How great will you feelIndividuals generally want to stay feeling as young as they can, for as long as they can and governments are having to find more and more money for aged care and hospitals. Part of the problem is that the majority of people simply don’t know how to stay healthy and vital.

If they actually knew HOW SIMPLY IT ACTUALLY IS they would scream!

One of the worst things that can happen as we age is to contract a debilitating disease or to suffer a serious injury, especially if you live in a country such as Australia or the United States with expensive health care. Many people just cannot afford to get sick in these countries, but a rapidly increasing number of people are getting sick.

At a recent medical seminar I attended one doctor described how scientists had now linked 120 preventable diseases to being overweight or obese … and they are finding more and more. Continue reading

Beware of ANZ and High Interest Rate Loans!

Beware of ANZ and High Interest Rate Loans!

It is not that long ago that were encouraged to SAVE … save for what we wanted.

That all changed and ANZ bank as one of the big 4 banks is a leader in encouraging debt. But so do CBC, AMEX, NAB, Virgin Credit, Westpac and many others. To understand the banking industry is something few busy people ever do. Even on the ANZ Home loans website they say “Comparing banking products can be confusing and time consuming.”

But isn’t this just great how the ANZ Homeloans page is simply covered in “zeros”, like:

  • “$0 monthly account service fee …”  and
  • “$0 annual credit card account fee …”

Wouldn’t be any ‘trickery’ there would there? Surely not, not the ANZ bank now.

Zero’s are easy to understand … well, they used to be.

So even though we don’t understand banking products well … they ‘consume’ our lives.

Home loans, car loans, personal loans, credit cards and on and on … each with different interest rates, different terms and conditions and policies. Come on, be honest here.

Who actually reads all of the fine print? Does anyone?

You would assume the ANZ and other banks do, or is it only their solicitors who understand them?

One of the JP Morgan family said that if you want to make money and become rich you must make things complex and complicated.

Banks like ANZ have made an art form out of confusion and evidently they are all in bed with each other, as we saw at the height of the recent GFC (no that’s not the Geelong Football Club … it stands for Global Financial Crisis).  Do you remember that only one bank was sacrificed … and it came as a shock to the others. They thought they were all safe … safety in numbers I suppose.

About five years ago I had taken out an ANZ loan … it was very easy to apply for, no hoops to go through, or ladders to climb. At the time I was heavily involved in creating a new movement called Your Healthy Planet.com, all about us working together for the benefit of everyone.

Is that the same philosophy of the banks … like ANZ?  Don’t think so!

Banks play “win as much as we can … and screw you.”

Should Tony Abbott Go With A “Health Bonus”?

Or let labor grab it?

Australian-weightloss article proposes a NEW “Health Bonus” could be on the way. Earlier comments from Prime Minister Rudd certainly stresses the concern over skyrocketing health costs, or as another article put it a “tidal wave of preventable diseases”.

The baby bonus met with better than expected results …

It is well proven that  “reward systems” do achieve much better results and are certainly more cost effective than the old conventional “penal systems” which you see all around the world continuing to extract more and more tax payers hard earned money.

They say that a LEADER is not necessarily the one out the front wielding the machete and cutting his way through the jungle, but rather the one who climbs the tallest tree and is willing to yell “we are in the wrong jungle”.

Australia has also recently been host to Internationally renowned Professor Susan Greenfield, a neuro-scientist and author. Much of her work is aimed at predicting the onset of debilitating (and often preventable) brain disease such as dementia and Alzheimers.  In her Press Club address she quoted a figure of $67 billion in potential savings over forty years if we can delay the effect of these brain diseases on Australian for say five years.

She and her team are working on a predictive type of ‘marker’ that could tell your doctor you are likely to suffer a debilitating disease like Parkinson’s, dementia or Alzheimers and put you on a new medication (not yet discovered) which will delay the onset of the disease.

My concern is very much that “we get what we FOCUS our attention on … ” and to be investing large sums of research dollars on this type of research and medication is at best doubtful.

How Safe Is Melbourne Water? Could It Kill You?

If you live in Victoria, Australia you will have heard of Melbourne Water, as the name suggests it is responsible for much of the water assets that serve the city of Melbourne.

And you also have an opinion on the pros and cons of “tap water versus bottled water”, but this is not what this article is about. This article is about the safety philosophy of an organisation entrusted with supply and delivery of a life supporting resource such as water.

I would expect the philosophy of a public body (and their servants) responsible for life giving “water” to be beyond reproach and certainly not subject to any lackadaisical attitudes but that it not necessarily the case … but you be the judge.

Imagine you are a young woman taking your very energetic dog for some exercise … and you have decided to ride your bike with the dog running beside you. I’ve seen many people do this without incident.

Picture this woman (who happens to be a close friend of mine) riding along a “drainage pathway” … sort of an ‘overflow’ if you like that can take storm flood waters, but for the majority of time it is a quiet and very safe pathway to either walk the dog, go for a run or a ride.

But what if, as you are riding at high speed along the path it just disappears in front of your eyes?

The young woman, out taking her dog for exercise … is now heading headfirst into a concrete hole and has no way of avoiding the disaster.

Her neck and jaw hit first (see the red cross) into the hard concrete edging of a meter wide cross drain splitting her flesh and running deep grazes into her throat; her bike’s front wheel of course had plunged into the crevasse.

Trying to ‘break her fall’ was a natural instinct which lead to a fractured wrist, and her body, traveling at around twenty kilometers an hour also hit hard cracking a number of ribs and badly grazing the skin along her throat.

Blood was pouring from the gash under her jaw, her clothes now literally covered in her own blood as she dragged her damaged bike back towards the road in a vain attempt to get help.

She waved down a taxi … but one look at her at it drove away, leaving her to abandon her bike, still holding onto her lead she slowly took herself and her dog the kilometer or so back home … a shared house that she had only moved to some days earlier. The fact that she was not familiar with her surrounds in some way helped contribute to her accident, but it really wasn’t an accident, but rather it was a disaster waiting to happen.

See, if an accident can be foreseen … then it probably isn’t an accident in my opinion. Those responsible used to have an obligation under ‘common law’ to remove the hazard. You could say it is a moral obligation especially if women and children are likely to be injured unnecessarily.

Injured and upset, this young woman eventually made it to the emergency area of her local hospital. The attending doctor sent her for Xrays, stitched her jaw and dresses her abrasions.

He said “You are very lucky not to have been more seriously injured. You could have broken your neck.”

Six weeks off work as the result of an accident that could so easily have been prevented …

The cost to have put a concrete slab, or galvanised grate across the open side drain would certainly be a few thousand dollars, so why would a large public authority DECIDE NOT TO FIX THE PROBLEM when they have seen the results that their hazard has caused.

It can surely only be that safety, and in particular PUBLIC SAFETY, is not a high priority.

See, the accident happened eighteen months ago … and yet the hazard remains, awaiting it’s next unsuspecting victim. Men and women ride along this drainage pathway every day. Unfortunately some do so for the first time … and would not expect the path to disappear.

Your Healthy Planet.com is a global initiative to reward individuals, businesses, clubs and organizations that exhibit excellent customer service, and have healthy, green, sustainable products and services that make a positive difference.

This hazard will be rectified … I’m just very surprised that it wasn’t done within days or weeks of my friends ‘accident’.

If you know of a media contact in Melbourne who could help make a difference here and prevent some one else suffering a similar injury please let me know.

Leave a comment below or contact Melbourne Water and inquire if the hazard has been rectified.

Why Border Protection Is Unnecessary & Unhuman?

If Success or Failure ...Should the Berlin wall be re-erected? Is the Great Wall of China necessary to stop the ‘barbarians’ from invading?

From Wikipedia: In 1989, a radical series of Eastern Bloc political changes occurred, associated with the liberalization  of the Eastern Bloc’s authoritarian systems and the erosion of political power in the pro-Soviet governments in nearby Poland and Hungary.  After several weeks of civil unrest, the East German government announced on November 9, 1989 that all GDR citizens could visit West Germany and West Berlin.  Crowds of East Germans crossed and climbed onto the wall,  joined by West Germans on the other side in a celebratory atmosphere.  Over the next few weeks, a euphoric public and souvenir hunters chipped away parts of the wall; the governments later used industrial equipment to remove most of the rest.

The fall of the Berlin Wall paved the way for German reunification, which was formally concluded on October 3, 1990.

Does Costa Rica need a military defense force to stop invaders? In 1948 their government abandoned their military … was that a wise move? Many people may not be willing to consider such a radical step but they are living in the past … or as one great American once said, “Most people are driving through life with both hands firmly on the rear view mirror.”

That great American is non other than Mr Werner Erhard, founder of the EST Training, recipient of the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Prize and the person considered responsible for introducing “empowerment” to business and organisations, rather than “management”.

Love is omni-inclusive ...On 1st December, 1948 President José Figueres abolished Costa Rica’s army. From that moment on Costa Rica has lived as a peaceful and democratic nation. Besides getting rid of the army this decision had another important effect on the country’s development. The money that was formerly spent on the military is now spent on education and universal health care and has had a tremendous effect on human development for the average Costa Rican.

No other countries can make this claim!

This peaceful tradition continues to live. Costa Rica’s current president, Dr. Oscar Arias Sánchez was the recipient of the Noble Peace prize for being instrumental in bringing peace to the nations of Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua in the 1980s.

Furthermore, there is no threat of terrorism here because Costa Rica has NO enemies. This added stability is one of the primary factors that make our unique country  such a special place in the world and perfect for a peaceful retirement and investment. For these same reasons large multinational corporations like Citi Bank, GE, Walmart, Intel, Proctor Gamble, Firestone, Amazon.com and many others have invested millions of dollars here. I am sure this list will continue to grow as more big players and individuals realize the advantage of investing here.

Finally, this peaceful ambience, excellent investment climate and unparalleled beauty are the reasons Costa Rica has become one top five emerging real estate markets in the world. See more on Costa Rica Continue reading
